Environmental Issues and Challenges CD-ROM (Jan. 2006)

Informal recyclers (catadores) going door-to-door collecting.

Produced a CD-ROM featuring 8 videos (some previously produced) and accompanying articles as well as designed and developed user interface. CD-ROM was packaged with a first year geography textbook.

Gulf Islands Centre for Ecological Learning (July 2006)

Kids walking on a beach.

Produced video promoting the Centre’s summer day camps for children and family retreats in the Southern Gulf Islands of British Columbia. Video was subsequently used by directors of the non-for-profit organization as part of their fund-raising campaign as well as being posted to their website as well as that of EKOS.

Lower Fort Garry Energy Efficiency Initiatives (July 2006)

Solar panels installed at Lower Fort Garry National Historic Site

Produced a series of 6 - 8 min. videos featuring the Assets Manager explaining various renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies installed at Lower Fort Gary National Historic Site in Manitoba. Videos were developed to promote greater awareness of greenhouse gas reduction and Parks Canada’s leadership in this area.

Robert Bateman Prints Commemorating Alberta Parks 75th (Aug. 2006)

Wildlife Artist Robert Bateman at Work in His Studio

Produced two short videos: the first explores with this renowned wildlife artist his motivations and approach to producing a limited series to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Alberta Parks, and the second gives Bateman an opportunity to share his thoughts on environmental education. The videos were then broadcast over commercial television stations throughout Alberta as well as compressed and posted to government and non-governmental organization websites.

Sustainability Vision Statement for Royal Roads University (July 2007)

Hatley Castle at Royal Roads University

Taking the perspective of a recently graduated student writing a testimonial letter, a vision for the campus is revealed in which it had become self-sufficient in renewable energy and water, while generating no garbage by using leading-edge environmental technologies. The vision’s purpose was to guide a capital campaign aimed at major redevelopment of the campus, establishing it as a leader in green campuses. A high-level economic and technical feasibility assessment was also prepared and appended to the vision.

Globe 2008 (February 2008)

Produced a fast-paced, dynamic 2 min. video to promote Globe 2008 - an international conference and trade fair on business and the environment - through e-mail distribution.
