Adapting to Climate Change in the Fraser Basin of British Columbia

Development of a private website integrating aspects of social networking with on-line forums and application of facilitated interpersonal techniques both designed to enable knowledge transfer between municipal government representatives (mayors, councilors, and senior policy-advisers), scientists and engineers concerning the adaptation of water infrastructure to climate change.

Funded by Natural Resources Canada.

Two 12 minute videos were produced as part of this project. Each conceived and produced to provoke and stimulate reflection and dialog within and among the three communities. Messaging arose through peer-to-peer learning wherein “converted” local government representatives spoke directly to the “unconverted,” supported by clips from three highly respected climate scientists from University of British Columbia.
